                                    Hunt Information and Logistics

                                    Hunting Season:
                                    1st of May to 31st November
                                    Dip and Ship:
                                    After your safari the field treated trophies are taken to Louis Trichardt. An independent company will dip, crate and ship the trophies. Take
                                    note that a lot of paperwork has to be done and this could delay the process of exporting the trophies. South Africa has good taxidermists can process your trophies. You should allow at least 6 months for the shipping process. Field treatment, transport, storage, all export and trophy documentation as well as crating are included in your dip and ship costs.  We normally use Field and Stream.                                     Itinerary schedule and logistics

                                    Flight schedule:
                                    A International Flight to JHB (O.R Tambo international airport)
                                    A connecting flight from JHB(O.R Tambo international airport) to Polokwane international airport in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.

                                    Arrival Day:

                                    Meet and greet at Polokwane international airport. Transfer by car to Balla-Balla Conservancy + - 100km drive. After the short drive
                                    you will be settled into camp in the afternoon for a relaxing night around the camp fire. This is a non hunting day.

                                    Hunting Days – 5, 7 or 9 day hunt:

                                    After a relaxing night in camp in true African style, the hunting days commence.  First light brings the hunters to life and a quick cup of coffee/tea with some toast or cereal is in order before the rifles are checked on day 1 or prior to day 1 if there is time on the arrival day(non-hunting day). A cool box with snacks and soft drinks is packed and the hunters set off in search of trophies. Breakfast/lunch typically known as“brunch” is served around 12:00 in the morning. After brunch a relaxing sleep is generally in order as it the hottest time of the day. Around 14:30 the search for the trophies continues. Night time is typically enjoyed around the camp fire sharing stories of the day gone by and passed hunts. As with true African hospitality meat for varies species is prepared along with traditional dishes which makes for a truly unique world class dinner. Please note that certain species on the trophy list is not available at Balla-Balla Conservancy. On request arrangement is made to hunt other close areas where those species are available. Fishing Safaris to catch bass is also available. 

                                    Departure day:

                                    Departure from Balla-Balla Conservancy is planned for the early morning after breakfast. Departing for Polokwane international airport + - 100km
                                    drive. A final good-by is done and you are booked onto your pre-scheduled international connecting flight back home via JHB (O.R Tambo
                                    international).

                                    Useful Information

                                    Travel Insurance:
                                     It is your responsibility to provide your own travel insurance, and it is vital to have purchased insurance prior to your arrival in South Africa. 
                                    Medical Insurance:
                                    It is imperative that you have adequate medical insurance that includes evacuation in the event of an emergency.
                                    Medication:
                                    Travellers carrying prescription medicine must carry a copy of their prescription at all times.
                                    The African sun:
                                    Is harsh at most times of the year. Comfortable cotton clothing is recommended for the hot summer months, and it’s advisable to dress in layers to allow for cooler night temperatures. Pack durable clothing, preferably in dull or neutral colours. Sun screen and a hat are crucial.

                                    Terms of Business – note carefully

                                    To book a hunt 50% deposit of the daily rate or package hunt is required via a telegraphic transfer to our nominated bank account. All bank fees
                                    are payable at source when you make the transfer. The outstanding balance of the total daily fees or hunting package and trophy fees of animals hunted or wounded (determined by the Professional Hunter) is payable at Balla-Balla Conservancy before departure in Amex  USD$ travellers cheques, USD$ Cash or combination. No personal or bank cheques are accepted under any circumstances. 
                                     
                                    Should a hunt be cancelled for any reason less than six months prior to the hunt date no deposit is refunded.  If cancelled 6 months plus, 50% of the deposit will be refunded. 
                                     
                                    The hunt begins upon arrival agreed arrival date in Polokwane/Balla-Balla Conservancy. Should the client need to depart from Balla-Balla Conservancy early or curtail the hunt for any unforeseen reason whatsoever, the full hunting package price or full daily
                                    rate payment is still applicable.

                                    Balla-Balla are not responsible for charter flight/international flight delay or cancellation due to any circumstances beyond our control. No cancellation liability accepted under any circumstances for any changes, delay or other. Air charter cost may be subject to change in the event of any unforeseen increase in operating or fuel cost at the time of travel.

                                    Hunting and travel has risk, Balla-Balla Safaris takes safety measures but don’t accept liability for any unforeseen occurrences. Clients arrange their own medical accident baggage trip cancel/medical evacuation insurance cover asrequired.

                                    If a client fails to collect all the trophies listed in the package deal they would be refunded the full trophy fee for the animal they have failed to collect. This does not include wounded animals determined by the Professional Hunter.  
                                     
                                    A Hunting Terms and Conditions will be provided which the client must sign upon booking.
