At Dendro Park the camp is situated on the banks of the Kabwe Floodplain, a tributary of the Nanzhila River, offering a tranquil and scenic setting in the heart of the Zambian wilderness. The central dining and social area is thoughtfully positioned slightly elevated above ground level to accommodate seasonal flooding during the wet months. Designed in an open-plan style beneath a traditional thatched roof, the area includes a bar and comfortable relaxation space, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests to unwind after a day in the field. A fireplace is located at the front edge of the deck, overlooking the water and the spectacular floodplain beyond.

Guests are accommodated in three separate, permanent African-style thatched chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms. The chalets are tastefully decorated in a traditional Zambian style and fitted with comfortable bedding and solar-powered lighting. Each unit is equipped with essential amenities to ensure a relaxed and comfortable stay in the bush. Solar power is available for charging cameras and other electronic devices, ensuring guests can capture and preserve every moment of their safari experience. Starlink WiFi is also available at camp, providing reliable internet connectivity in this remote wilderness setting.

To enhance comfort during warmer days, the camp also features an outdoor swimming pool, providing a refreshing place to cool off while enjoying the surrounding natural beauty.

The sable I had taken was an old solitary bull, past his breeding prime, and of no further social or genetic benefit to his kind. This wonderful sable was mine! I had captured him in a moment of memory that I would treasure the rest of my life

Dendro is a special place, I am so happy my wife got to hunt buffalo there as well. She had a very nice hunt and like you said it's amazing how big bodied those bulls are in the Kafue.
