Dendro Park Reserve - Southern Province - Kafue Basin
At Dendro Park the camp is situated on the banks of the Kabwe Floodplain, a tributary of the Nanzhila River, offering a tranquil and scenic setting in the heart of the Zambian wilderness. The central dining and social area is thoughtfully positioned slightly elevated above ground level to accommodate seasonal flooding during the wet months. Designed in an open-plan style beneath a traditional thatched roof, the area includes a bar and comfortable relaxation space, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests to unwind after a day in the field. A fireplace is located at the front edge of the deck, overlooking the water and the spectacular floodplain beyond.
Guests are accommodated in three separate, permanent African-style thatched chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms. The chalets are tastefully decorated in a traditional Zambian style and fitted with comfortable bedding and solar-powered lighting. Each unit is equipped with essential amenities to ensure a relaxed and comfortable stay in the bush.
